My Mistake
A bump in the road,
I happened to trip.
Seeming so subtle,
But it made me slip.
A difference so slight
I just didn't see -
Gigantic mistake
It happened to be.
To turn back the time!
To take the move back.
The bump did avoid,
The trip did retrack.
The tears that I shed,
Achieve not a thing.
All that I can do
Is plead to the King.
That He can make right
The wrong that I've done:
Problem against me
Somehow be won.
But trusting in Him
Is all I can do.
I cling to this hope,
And pray that it's true.
That what has been done
Can be as it should;
That all this through God
Can work out for good.

A nicely written poem, about something that isn't nice to have happen. It captures the theme well. :)
ReplyDeleteThankyou Jonathan. It was your idea. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you decided to act on Jonathan's idea, Bushy. :) *hugs tightly* I love the poem, it captures that feeling -- and the solution -- very well. :)
ReplyDeleteThankyou, my Grace. :) *hugs back*
